Some Things to Consider Before Buying an LED Bulb

Whether you have just got a new house and want to decorate it the right way or are revamping the look of your old one, LED lights are the way to go. Although there is a high initial cost of LED lights, getting garage led light fixtures makes a lot of sense, given the lower cost in the usage.

More so, if you are running a business, it is even better since the cost savings are more apparent and quicker. Exterior led lighting can be a good buy; however, you need to understand a few things about them before purchasing.

Unit for Energy:

Most people usually judge a bulb by how many watts it is. While wattage shows how bright the bulb will be, it tells you nothing about how much energy it will consume. While, wattage correlates with the energy drawn and brightness for conventional lighting, it is different for LED lights.

It is not a very good predictor of how much energy it might consume or how bright they will be for Led lights. The best way to do that is by calculating the lumen per rupee.

For instance, if a bulb gives you 800 lumens for 750 rupees you will get 1.06 LMS per rupee. You should keep in mind to get a bulb that offers a high lumen per rupee. This way, you can decide if you are getting your value for money.

The Right Color:

LED bulbs come in an impressive color range. Starting from purple to even red, white, and yellows, you will get a spectrum of colors.

For a house, you will be better off with colors that conventional incandescent bulbs produce. You can choose high bay led shop lights to create a warm yellow or white light that will surely suit your every need. You can find the kind of color the light will produce written in the description on the box.

These are some of the main things you should keep in mind before investing in an LED bulb.
